How do I protect the privacy of my workers and the public when using computer vision and AI?
We take privacy very seriously right from inception through to production in the R/VISION platform. We use a number of techniques. People's faces are automatically blurred, so you will never be able to identify a person in a video clip. We use privacy masks to ensure that we never capture data of private property or homes without the consent of the property owner.
Where is the data stored and is it secure? Who has access to my data?
We have a number of deployment models, as we offer both premise and Cloud. For the premise model, data storage is predominantly done on your own infrastructure. For the Cloud hosted solution, the data is stored in Google Cloud, Australia East region. All data is encrypted in transit at rest, so your data is never transmitted in the clear. We follow best practice for data security in the cloud, with a key rotation on an industry standard cycle.The platform's user management can filter access by users, so only the people who you want to have access to certain sites or data can view it. Members of the RUSH and R/VISION team can access your data, only if you have opted in to improving the platform.
What models does R/VISION support?
R/VISION is currently focused on workplace safety and compliance. We support a number of scenarios including detecting people in no-go or exclusion zones, PPE compliance, worker down for too long, vehicle or mobile plant route and speed monitoring, License Plate Recognition (LPR), proximity of people to active plant. The data gathered inside R/VISION can be integrated into any platform and customised to suit your needs.
Can R/VISION integrate with my current systems and tools?
R/VISION has a public API set, as well as multiple off-the-shelf integrations including Salesforce, Zendesk and generic Webhooks.You don’t need any new cameras, hardware or sensors to run R/VISION. R/VISION is camera agnostic and we work on a bring-your-own camera model; we can integrate with any camera that has an available RTSP socket.
