RUSH has been awarded an ACC New Zealand Workplace Injury Prevention grant to apply R/VISION to the manufacturing sector.
We're beyond proud that RUSH is one of the three organisations who have been awarded an ACC New Zealand Workplace Injury Prevention grant.
Our grant will allow us to apply our R/VISION computer vision AI platform into New Zealand's manufacturing sector, aiming to reduce or prevent workplace injuries by using computer vision technology to provide evidence for improving workplace design.
This $935,000 grant will help prevent workplace injuries before they occur, bringing proven computer vision technology to an industry that experiences one of NZ's highest injury rates, and includes dedicated focus on improving outcomes for Māori kaimahi, who currently experience disproportionate injury rates in the sector.
Building on R/VISION's recent success with NZTA Waka Kotahi and Downer, we're now creating a technology sandbox environment where manufacturers can safely trial and implement computer vision AI-powered safety systems, and working with H&S practitioners to better understand AI technology and its application in workplace design.
RUSH acknowledges the co-funding of this project by ACC's Workplace Injury Prevention programme. Read more about the grant recipients and the programme on ACC's newsroom.
By combining the structured approach of ISO 45001 with R/VISION's advanced technology, organisations can build a more robust and responsive safety management system that not only meets compliance requirements but exceeds them.
